Restarting-One Week at a time

So I haven't been around for a looooong time! Things have been crazy busy being in school and two jobs will do that to a girl! This blog is very important to me, it is a goal for me personally to show that  I can stay on track with things, plus its part of my bucket list. So I wanna get to it back on track since I'm no longer in school (more about that latter) and will hopefully be able to make the time for it. So my plan is to do 7 days in one blog until I'm caught up. I will get all the pictures organized because I haven't stopped taking them and post them in one blog, with a brief story but nothing to long. My goal is to try to have this all done by Sunday. I have a long work week, but I really want to try and get this going again! So bear with me and enjoy the ride of my life since February 20th all in a few short blogs!

Craft Day~Day 46~February 17th

Craft day with Ben. Sara is helping Ben make his Valentine's card box. It's always fun to do arts and crafts!

Lil Trouble~Day 45~February 16th

Our little Peach always finding her way to trouble. We put her coat on to go outside, leave her for a second and this is what we find when we come back into the room. She managed to get the hood over her eyes and then because she couldn't see see got herself stuck in a corner!

Valentines Day~Day 43~February 14th

The heart shaped pizza above is actually from our dinner the Friday night before Valentines day. The dinner below is a chicken dish that my grandma use to make, Sara surprised me when I got home from class with this and wine and of course chocolates!!

To Thaw or not to Thaw!~Day 42~February 13th

This is a lot of order, but I'm posting it any way. This is a Wednesday that it started to snow, after we thought we were done and going to be able to thaw out. Mother nature has her own plan, man and woman just needs to step to the side.

How strange that Nature does not knock, and yet does not intrude!  ~Emily Dickinson

Enjoy the View~Day 41~February 12th

We could always learn a lesson from our dogs. Harley is just sitting there enjoying the view and soaking up the sun.

Never Lose Your Style~Day 40~February 11th

This little ole lady was in front of me at the store, I'm not poking fun at her. I think that it is fantastic that she is out and about with her Bestyville handbag, her sunglasses, her hat, and her flannel top. She has probably lived her whole life going against the grain, or at least that's what I like to think. You go girl!

Getting Caught Up~Day39~February 10

I don't know if this will be cheating but I've decided to take a picture of all the change I find this year to keep track of how much I find. Just something fun, it kinda makes me think of my grandpa. He was always finding change and picking it up, sometimes finding a dollars worth in one day! So lets just see what a penny is truly worth!

Dog Day~ Day 38

There are just days that you wish you could just do this. Our little pets in the right house they have it made. Who wouldn't love to not work, be fed twice a day, and be love and spoiled like crazy!

Scratch a dog and you'll find a permanent job.  ~Franklin P. Jones

Loooong Day~Day 37

I worked on homework all day to day, from 3:00 to 10:30. By the end of it my brain was toast, lucky for Pretty Woman was on TV. I took the oppurtuinty to pop some pocorn and curl up on the couch with baby. The perfect ending to such a long, long day!

It always seems impossible until it is done.~Nelson Mandela

Dinner Date Day 36

Sara and I rarely get a chance to go out to eat. So when we got a gift certificate for Christmas we knew the perfect time to use  it. It was very nice to be able to out and eat for a very special occasion. I cant think of a better way to celebrate! The food was very yummy, and we even had some left for the next day.

Aniversary Day 35

Today I celebrated 2 wonderful years with my girlfriend, what makes this anniversary so much better is that it is our first one since we became engaged. I am truly blessed, my road my bumpy day to day, but with her by my side everything is possible. She keeps me going and always excepts me for me, and loves me unconditionally. She has my heart forever and always.

A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life.” Richard Bach

Hi from Heaven Day 33

I believe that there are signs everywhere, and I believe that the day I found this that it may have been my grandma saying hi to me. My grandmothers name was Emma, it is a rare name and I don't often see it. When I found this the other night at work I was thinking about her, and then I looked down and there was grandmas name. You can develop your own opinion to signs and whether or not they exist, but I've always had belief in signs. On this day I have to believe that this might have been grans little way of saying hi!

Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.

Snowpocalypse~Day 32

Snowpocalypse Day 2
So these three picture's are from our day today. The dogs absolutely loved it! We couldn't get out for work so we've been inside all day, I am so busy during the week-and weekends sometimes, that I often pray for time off. But this girl is getting MAJOR cabin fever and really needs to get out. I think we night have a very slim shot of doing so tomorrow, guess we'll have to wait and see!

ICESNOWPOCALYPSE!!!!! Day31

So today gets more than one picture, because we are making history here in the great state of Misery (Missouri)! The top is Wal-Mart and all the shoppers preparing for the worst, the second is what it looked outside at 5:00 p.m., and the bottom two are our forecast for tonight and tomorrow.  This is supposed to be the worst we have seen since 1912! We have a Winter Weather Warning and a Blizzard Warning! Plus we are being told to plan to stay inside, unless you have chains on your car. It's gonna get ugly around here folks!

Time for the weather report. It's cold out folks. Bone crushing cold. The kind of cold which will wrench the spirit out of a young man, or forge it into steel.

Balcony Bird

This little gal (pardon the screen) was taken from my balcony. I was just sitting on the couch and seen her fly onto the balcony, I moved as quickly as I could to snap this one picture.

I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn.  ~Henry David Thoreau

Sara's Birthday Day 29

Today was my loves birthday! Iam so very grateful that this beautiful woman came into my life. She has such warmth and love! I wouldn't know what to do without her. It's always nice to look forward to special holidays when you know you get to spend them with someone you love.

Sara's Birthday Cake Day 28

I couldn't post this until today because we were very busy yesterday with Sara's birthday, plus I didn't want her to see the cake on Friday. This was my very first attempt at a double layer cake. I surprised her with confetti icing and strawberry cake! She loved it!

"Let them eat cake!"

Dinner With Love

Finally got all my day's caught up! This is my beautiful Sara making dinner, we always eat together no matter how late it is. Dinner time is our time to be together and talk, and maybe throw in a movie. We like to try new and different recipes, when we can afford lol. I love that we always make this a special time to be together to make new memories =).

Work Ugh~Day 26

This is taken at my night job, I have grown a strong dislike for this job. I've been there four year's to long and can't wait to quit. On this night in particular we stood around and did mark ups. Which means we had to scan, tear the old perforated price tag off, and then put a new sticker on it. The new mark ups ranged from .50 cent to $2.00, it was the stupidest thing I have ever done.

“It was true that I didn’t have much ambition, but there ought to be a place for people without ambition, I mean a better place than the one usually reserved. How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 6:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?”

A Daughter's Love~Day 25

This little note was left on my facebook wall by my daughter. A lot of people that know me may be thinking I don't have a child, and you would be right I don't have a child. My daughter is actually my step daughter from my previous marriage. The thing is that I don't believe in that ugly word STEP CHILD. I may have not given birth to her, and she may not be blood, but she IS MY DAUGHTER! I would do anything in my power for her, I think about her often, wonder how she's doing. She's in school and I couldn't be more proud of her, she is trying and she will succeed in anything and everything she puts her mind to, I know that much for sure. I hope the day she graduates that I will be able to be there to see her again walk down and isle to yet another achievement. I love her she means the world to me, I would give my life for her, just as her own mother would. So this is my little story about a beautiful girl woman that turned from a stranger into a beautiful gift, the gift of love from a child to a mother.
